  1. Superbowl XLVIII - GO SEAHAWKS!

    Superbowl 2014

Seahawk players Marshawn Lynch and Golden Tate with a classic Jeff pose - Crazy & Toothless! Seahawk players Marshawn Lynch and Golden Tate with a classic Jeff pose - Crazy & Toothless!

The countdown is on!  The game of the year, Superbowl XLVIII, is only a few days away.  The Seattle Seahawks face the Denver Broncos this Sunday, February 2nd,  in New Jersey.  The hawks are  making their second appearance in the championship, hopefully bringing home their first Lombardi Trophy.  For a city that has never won a Superbowl, this is epic to say the least.

What an amazing NFL football season it’s been!  The Seahawks have been HOT all year, with 13 wins, 3 losses, clinching the NFC Championship game vs. San Fransisco.  Our city and fans have responded.  Yes, the Hawks have been to the Superbowl before in the recent past, but the hype this time is much stronger. Not only are the Seahawks players local heroes, but the Pacific Northwest is seriously sick with 12th Man Fever!!!!  12th Man signs, flags, and jerseys are everywhere you look.  It's super exciting!

Our Lombardi-style trophies in our showroom are ready for a Seahawks win! Our Lombardi-style trophies in our showroom are ready for a Seahawks win!

Check out this ESPN blog post for a quick take of the game:

My family will be spending Sunday with many friends, plenty of food and beverages, kids running a muck, dressed in our Blue and Green 12th Man finery.  We are thrilled to be living in the PNW, cheering our team on to victory!  Enjoy the game and GO SEAHAWKS!

    Cheers,

    Jessica

  4. 3 Ideas for Patriotic Awards

With the anniversary of Sept 11th approaching, our thoughts go to the memory of that tragic day and the loss our county endured.  We remember the sacrifice so many made and are reminded of the selflessness of our military, police and fire professionals who risk their lives every day to serve us. It's a time to reflect on what it means to be an American, and recognize those that protect our lives and freedom.

Do you know a police officer, fire fighter, EMT, military servicemember or veteran you want to thank for their service to our country or local community?   Below are 3 ideas of ways to honor those that serve.

    Write A Letter.

Write a letter to show your appreciation.

With this technological world we live in, handwritten letters mean even more than they did in the past. Consider writing a letter, whether to a service person oversees, or to your local firefighter or police officer.  Speak from the heart to make it meaningful.  It will make their day.

    Make A Donation.

There are hundreds of charitable organizations that support our military, veterans, firefighters and police officers.  Local police and fire guilds, Yellow Ribbon Fund, and Wounded Warriors Fund are just a few of the many organizations that support the heroes in our community.  Research a charity and then consider making a donation in honor of the person you are thanking.  Here is a great resource if you are looking for ideas:  Support Our Troops at Military.com.

    Patriotic Awards.

We have many ideas for patriotic awards, including plaques, crystal awards, and resin trophies.

Eagles:  A popular choice for military honors are eagles; these make great patriotic awards.

Stars:  Another great choice is stars, to honor our flag.  We have many options for star awards, all of which can be engraved with your message.

Plaques:  We have a number of different plaques specific to fire, police, EMTs and military.  What is nice about a plaque is that it can be displayed on a wall and enjoyed for years to come.

What makes an award even more meaningful is the personalized engraved message you put on it.  For engraving ideas, see our page, What should my engraving say.

In honor of the anniversary of Sept 11, now is the time to thank our first responders, military, and veterans for serving our country and risking their lives day after day for our us and our families. Take action and show them how much you care!

    Cheers,
    Jessica

  5. 2013 Wiener Dog Races at Emerald Downs

The most anticipated event of the summer - the STAR 101.5 Wiener Dog Races!  This year's event takes place on Sunday, July 14th at Emerald Downs Track in Auburn, WA.  Once again, we are proud to be the official awards sponsor of the event!  The ultimate wiener dog trophy will be going home to a deserving athlete!

    It's a photo finish!

Only purebred dachshunds can enter the race.  The regular horse races occur, with the wiener dog heats between.  There is usually 2 preliminary wiener races, with a final deciding the top dog.  The race is done in the blink of an eye, with local celebrities Kent and Allen announcing which dachshund comes out on top.

This event guarantees lots of laughs in a family-friendly atmosphere.  Hope to see you there - we'll be the ones carrying the trophies!

    Cheers,
    Jessica
