  1. Behind the Scenes at Trophies2Go

    For Insider’s Only!

Trophies2Go Production Facility Where all the magic happens!

Have you ever wondered how your award is made? Come behind the scenes for a virtual tour of our production facility! After you press the “Place My Order” button on our website, your order goes directly to our customer service team, located in Issaquah, WA.  Many of our trophies contain separate pieces that must be screwed, glued, or taped together.  We check to make sure we have all of the necessary pieces in stock.  Janice, Mika or Margene looks at your order and double checks the inventory needed.    After that, your order is processed at our production warehouse in Renton, WA.

The Process At Our Production Facility

Paul at engraver Paul engraves trophy plates on the rotary engraver.

It takes many caring hands to create your awards at our Production Facility.  First, the individual components of the trophies are “picked” by our production team.  All of the pieces of your awards are placed in a box and checked off a list.  Once completed, the order goes one of two ways.  It  moves to either our Rotary Engraver or our Laser Engraver.

    Rotary Engraver
If the order goes to the Rotary Engraver, it is most likely engraved by our expert engraver Paul.  Since 2005, Paul has been designing and engraving awards with his diamond tip rotary engraver.  His machine engraves brass, aluminum and medallions.  He is extremely thorough and accurate, and he knows precisely how to lay out designs on metal. Most trophy plates pass through Paul’s machine before they are attached to an award.

Edzel Edzel assembling a medal order.

After the rotary engraving is done, the awards are assembled by master Edzel.  He is a whiz at building every kind of trophy, plaque or award imaginable!  Most often, he screws all of the pieces together, attaches the engraving, and cleans the trophy.  At this point the order is ready to be shipped to you!

    Laser Engraver
If the order goes to the Laser Engraver, it is most likely engraved by Laurie.  She is an amazing artist with an eye for design.  Laurie programs your artwork and message into her computer, then runs your acrylic or crystal award through our laser engraving machine.  Many of our awards are then masked with tape and sandblasted, followed by cleaning and careful packaging.

    Shipping
Once your order has been engraved and assembled, it is invoiced and passed to Chris, our extremely conscientious shipper.  She packs all orders with care to arrive to you safely.  Her goal is to make sure that your awards are in the same condition when they arrive to you as when they leave our warehouse!

Oscar Tom Manager Tom & Oscar in Vegas!

All of this couldn’t happen without the oversight of our hardworking production manager Tom.  He sees that all pieces are there for every order, and that each trophy we make arrives by the guaranteed delivery date.

Our team at Trophies2Go cares about your order just as much as you do.  We know how important and special your event is, and we take the honor of making your awards seriously.  To see more of our staff in action, watch our ‘Day in the Life of a Trophy’ video.

Thank you for taking a virtual tour of our production facility!  If you or your group would ever like a real tour, feel free to contact me to schedule at [email protected].

    Cheers!

  2. 2013 Fall Award Trends

With summer winding down, fall is in the air.  What are the new trends for this fall?  Just like with fashion, Trophies and Awards have fresh styles for the season change. Our awards experts have rounded up the top must-have award trends for Fall 2013.

    Trend #1: Gray

Acrylathin Gray This new gray plaque is right on trend!

In fashion this fall, it's all about gray as the new neutral.  Lucky for us,  awards look great in gray too!   One new gray product I love is our new Acrylathin plaque.  What is awesome about this plaque is that the logo or other graphic can be cut through the material, so the silver background shows through.  Looks hot!

Bronze custom medal Two trends in one - bronze 'rose colored gold' medal with a custom insert!

    Trend #2: Rose Colored Gold

One of the hottest color trends for fall is rose.  No longer just for spring, rose is showing up in surprising places, including jewelry.  We are following this trend with new bronze awards, including metals, trophies and other 'rose colored gold' items.

    Trend #3:  Custom, Custom, Custom

A huge trend in awards right now is creating your own design, unique to your organization.  Custom awards are big, and we love making them!  We have a process called Logocut, where we create full-color acrylic awards out of any logo.  We also create one-of-a-kind inserts for metals.  These allow our customers to create unique awards tailored specifically to their event.  So cool!

    Trend #4: Designer Pieces

Just like in fashion, we offer premium designer awards on our website and in our showroom.  CIP, Nik Meller, Chien Wang of Toujours are 3 of the designer crystal award lines we carry.  These superior crafted awards feature unique and stunning designs that are pieces of art, worthy of display.

Mix things up with your awards this fall by picking a trendy piece! Just like with your wardrobe, adding just one new item can really jazz up your awards program!

    Cheers,
    Jessica

  3. How to Get Perpetual Trophy Engraving Done

Last year you bought an awesome perpetual trophy for your fantasy football league.  Now you need to engrave the 2012 winner before your draft.  How do you get it done in a hassle-free, painless way?  We have the perfect process in place to get your engraving done.  It's fast, simple, and very little effort.

The 3 Easy Steps To Getting Your Perpetual Engraving Done

    1.  Unscrew the side plate of your trophy.  Make sure to save the 4 small screws; you will need those to reattach the plate after it's engraved.

    2.  Slide the plate into a small padded mailer with engraving instructions, your contact information and payment .  Usually commissioners put the year, winning player's name and team name on the engraving.  Also include a check for $20.  This is for the cost of engraving and postage.

    3.  Drop it in the nearest US mailbox.  That's it!  So simple!

After we receive the envelope with your plate inside, we will email you an order confirmation and engrave the plate per your instructions.  Then we will mail it back to you.  Be sure to include your address and email with the instructions so we know who to send it to!

Watch our video to see this process in action:

Our production time is 3 days, so plan accordingly.  If you need your engraving done sooner, we do have a rush option available for an additional fee.  Just give us a call at 1-877-926-4700.

Once you get your plate back, take it out of the mailer and screw it back onto your trophy.  That's it!  Now you are ready to enjoy your draft and hype another great NFL season!

    Cheers,
    Jessica

  4. Recap of the Trophy Busy Season

Our 2013 “busy season” is done.  Sports have finished their games, recitals are complete, schools are out for summer, and businesses are wrapping up the fiscal year.  Many personalized trophies, dogtags, metals, and corporate awards flew out of our doors, each one given to someone special who earned it.  It felt great to create all of these positive awards for people who deserved them.Chef Awards

While working in our production facility, we saw how creative and inspiring our customers can be.  They chose beautiful awards for retiring colleagues, with lovely and meaningful messages inscribed.  We created many fun awards, especially toilet trophies, for golf tournaments and corporate events.

Musicians and dancers received awards at their recitals, acknowledging practice and dedication throughout the year.  Many sports teams were recognized for working hard and improving over the season.  Coaches were given plaques and ball holders to memorialize their passion for the game, and to thank them for mentoring their players.  And many teachers were acknowledged for all they do for their students.

Each order we make has a story, and I loved capturing and sharing many of these on our Trophies2Go Facebook page.  It’s not every day you can create a trophy for “Nana who went to nationals” or “Runder Woman” who completed a half-marathon on Mother’s Day!  If you have a story of your award you’d like to share, email me at [email protected].

We love the work we do to provide meaningful recognition.  Thank you customers for allowing us to share in your accomplishments!

    Cheers,
    Jessica
