  2. How To Add Names To Fantasy Football Trophies

Get ready for the Fantasy Football season by updating your fantasy league's trophy with last year’s winner.  We have a simple process to get perpetual engraving added to fantasy football trophies.  It's so easy!

    What To Do:

Step 1:  Unscrew the plate you want to be engraved.  Save the screws, as you will need those to re-attach the plate after it has been engraved.

Step 2:  Put the plate in a padded mailer.  Please also include:

    - Your engraving information.  Let us know how many years you want added. Most common engraving is Year, Winner's Name and Team Name.

    - Your address

    - Your email

    - Your payment – a $20 check.  This includes up to 4 years of engraving and return postage.

    Step 3:  Mail to:
    Trophies2Go
1320 NW Mall Street, Suite A-2
    Issaquah, WA 98027

Step 4:  Watch your email.  An order confirmation will be emailed to you once we receive your plate and enter your engraving details.  A delivery date will be included in this confirmation.

Step 5:  After we engrave your plate, we mail it back to you to re-attach to your trophy.  Simple!

    More Details:

    - The fee for perpetual engraving is $20, including return mailing. You may request up to 4 years of engraving at one time for this price. Additional years (more than 4) at the same time or additional mailed plates will be an extra $5 each.

    - If you prefer to pay with a credit card please call 1-877-926-4700 after you receive your confirmation email.

    - If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Service Team at 1-877-926-4700.

  3. New Employee Spotlight - Lori N

Welcome Lori to the Trophies2Go Team!

Lori Nichol Welcome our newest team member, Lori N!

Introducing our newest team member, Lori!  Lori joined our Trophies2Go Production Crew earlier this summer.  Along with Laurie W, Lori N will be one of our talented laser ladies, creating beautiful, artistic, expertly etched awards with our laser engravers and sandblasters.

A California Bay Area native, Lori has lived all over the country supporting her husband, who has served our country in the US Air Force.  For the past 3-1/2 years, Lori and her family lived in beautiful Hawaii, where she ran a trophy shop in Oahu.  With a background in graphic design, Lori is a skilled laser engraver and loves helping her customers create unique trophies and awards.

This summer, Lori's husband retires from the Air Force, and the couple with their 2 children moved to Western Washington.  Lori decided to find a job doing what she loves and was connected to our President, Jeff.  After a big move to the mainland, Lori now joins the Trophies2Go team!

Lori is passionate about her family, especially her kids.  Chloe, age 19, is a sophomore in college and Jacob, age 16, is a sophomore in high school.  Her family is her world!

Welcome Lori - we are glad you are here!

    Cheers,
    Jessica

  4. 5 Award Trends for Spring 2014

It’s time for Spring!  Daffodils are blooming, birdsong fills the air, and longer days are ahead.  Springtime not only brings new trends in fashion and home décor, but also in the awards industry.  Three weeks ago, I attended our annual trade show in Las Vegas and scoped out the hottest new awards for 2014.  So what are the must-have top trends for spring?

    Trend #1: Bamboo

It’s the hottest wood in awards!  Sustainable and renewable, bamboo's hard surface and pretty honey color make the perfect material for plaques, picture frames, cutting boards, and even travel mugs!  Beautiful when laser engraved, bamboo awards and gifts are easily personalized.  Great to look at and good for the earth, these awards are a win-win!

    Trend #2: Mixed Media Pieces

Many new awards combine more than one type of material together in exciting new combinations.  One of our suppliers, Victory, combines acrylic with sustainable bamboo (See Trend #1), displayed in an iron stand.

    Trend #3: Wine

When you are invited to a friend's house for dinner, what do you bring?  A bottle of wine, of course!  According to the Wine Institute, in 2012, the total wine consumed per resident in the US was 2.73 gallons.  Personalized wine products , such as engraved wine bottles, wine storage boxes, and wine tools, are a current trend this year.  With the popularity of wine, it's no surprise.

    Trend #4:  Custom, Custom, Custom

Just like last year, unique, personalized pieces were everywhere in Vegas.  Awards with full color photos, 3-dimensional acrylic awards made out of logos, and crystal awards filled with custom designs were hot at the show.  Nothing says "wow" like one-of-a-kind!

    Trend #5: Olympic Style Medals

With the recent Winter Olympics in Sochi, a new style of medal has come on the scene.  The neck drape remains flat, threading through the medal, instead of being clipped on with a ring. This more modern look was available for marathon racing medals and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

Medals with a one-of-a-kind design and printed neck drapes are also all the rage (see Trend #3). Create your own personalized Olympic medals; if your group has a design in mind, we can make it a reality.

Mix things up with your awards this spring by picking a trendy piece! Just like with your wardrobe, adding one fun new item can really jazz up your awards program!

    Cheers,
    Jessica

  5. ARA - Awards and Recognition Association - Why Join?

What is the ARA and why are we members?  What are the benefits?  And why should it matter to our customers?  I hope to answer these questions and more!

The 2014 ARA Trade Show in Las Vegas is at the end of the month. The 2014 ARA Trade Show in Las Vegas is at the end of the month.

The Awards and Recognition Association (ARA) is the trade group for the Trophy and Awards industry, with 4000 members worldwide.  Membership includes:

    1. Awards professionals who can offer expert advice in designing recognition programs and provide quality awards and recognition products to consumers (That’s us!)

    2. Manufacturers and suppliers that provide products, technology and equipment to awards retailers.

    3. Many companies with a common purpose: to promote the public awareness of the use and benefits of quality recognition products and to educate its members in the areas of business skills and ethics, technical competence, product knowledge and marketing.

    Membership Benefits

The ARA publishes a monthly newsletter, called the 'Recognition Review', has an informative and helpful website, provides technical training, and has a ‘Member to Member’ forum where awards business owners across the country can connect and share information.  The ARA also advocates for the awards industry as a whole.  But the biggest advantage to membership is free attendance to the annual ARA International Awards Market in Las Vegas. Jeff, Tom, Laurie and I are headed to this event at the end of the month.

Second to None - The ARA Trade Show

What is so great about the ARA Show?  Our team visits the International Awards Market for the following benefits:

    1.  New products.  We make a list of product lines that need refreshing, along with engraving equipment or parts that need replacing.  Then we scout exhibits looking for new items that fill these needs.  For example, this year we will be looking for custom awards, medals, and gift items.

    2.  Networking with our suppliers.  Most of our vendors attend the show.  We enjoy building relationships with them by meeting them face-to-face.

    3.  Meeting other business owners.  Many awards retailers share ideas and help each other in their businesses.  Even though we are competitors, our philosophy is sharing ideas to boost the industry as a whole helps us all.

    4.  Recognition the ARA gives to its members.  Many industry awards are distributed at the trade show, and it’s an honor to receive recognition from our peers.  In 2010, Trophies2Go received the ARA ‘Website of the Year’, and in 2012 received the ‘Large Retailer of the Year’ award.  The ARA also gives college scholarships to high school seniors students across the country through their ARIEF Scholarship Program.

We value our membership in the Awards and Recognition Association and are grateful for the good work this group does to help promote and grow the Awards and Recognition Industry.  We look forward to seeing all of our friends in Vegas!

    Cheers,
    Jessica
